Ask any rental distributor which machines actually earn their place in a fleet, and the answer is rarely the one with the tallest numbers on the spec sheet. It is the machine that reappears on the next purchase order. Among the models HYNEE exports to Europe and North America, the MVL9.5S has earned that status: the first unit is usually bought on dimensions, and the repeat orders come from how it performs on real sites — congested aisles, sensitive floors, and schedules that leave no room for a machine that cannot move as fast as the job does.
The machine measures 1.4m long, 0.78m wide and 1.98m high with the mast stowed — dimensions chosen around one constraint above all: the standard passenger and freight elevator. Doorways and cabins that turn back most self-propelled lifts accept the MVL9.5S without dismantling or special permits, so the machine can follow the work upward through a building instead of waiting for a crane or travelling in pieces.
Getting in is only half the job. With 25% gradeability, the MVL9.5S drives itself up loading ramps and between split-level floors, which means the trip from truck to lift lobby to work area does not depend on a second machine or a second pair of hands.
Reach is where the MVL9.5S justifies its place in the fleet: 9.5 m of working height indoors (7.5 m platform height) and 8 m outdoors (6 m platform height). Just as importantly, the machine does not treat those two figures as a single compromise. A dual-mode setting adapts the safety envelope to the environment: indoors, the full stroke is available up to the ceiling line; outdoors, the limits narrow to account for wind loading. One machine covers both duty cycles without field modification or operator guesswork.
The standard platform measures 0.66 × 0.67 m, with an optional deck extension that adds 0.5 m of outreach. The difference shows in the work pattern. Positions that would otherwise require the entire machine to move — reaching across a guardrail, past a racking beam, or up against a wall — can be worked directly from a single set-up. The extension rises and travels with the main platform, so the added reach never comes at the cost of stability.
The economics are straightforward: every positioning cycle — descend, drive, re-level, climb again — is paid time in which nothing is being installed, cleaned or inspected. A larger effective work area per stop removes those cycles, and the hours saved compound across a shift.
The mast is built from high-strength aluminium sections rather than steel. The first benefit is rigidity-to-weight: the structure stays stiff through tens of thousands of lift cycles, without the fatigue and corrosion concerns that come with heavier alternatives. The second benefit is what the saved weight does for everything else. At 1,280 kg overall, the MVL9.5S sits at the lighter end of its class — gentler on floor-load limits in shopping malls and office buildings, and far easier to handle. On site, one person can reposition it by hand between nearby work points; between sites, a forklift loads and unloads it directly, with no crane required. For rental fleets and contractors moving between buildings, that means lower transport costs and faster turnaround.
Automatic active pothole protection. The protection system deploys as the platform rises and rides close to the floor. If a wheel travels over a pit, a manhole or a slab joint, the protection plates take the load immediately, so the chassis never ends up balanced on a single suspended wheel. The safeguard is in place before it is needed — not a structure that reacts only after the wheel has already dropped.
Tilt and overload monitoring. A precision tilt sensor tracks chassis attitude in real time and cuts hazardous motion the moment the angle leaves its permitted envelope. The ECU control panel adds a dedicated overload indicator with automatic reset, so an over-limit load is flagged instantly rather than carried.
Layered emergency provisions. Emergency stops are fitted at both the platform and ground level. If battery power is lost, an auxiliary manual descent system lowers the platform smoothly back to floor level. When something goes wrong, the machine's default path is down, under control, with the operator still aboard.
Hydraulic reliability. The lift cylinder uses a fully embedded weld construction that keeps return oil inside the cylinder cavity, reducing the risk of internal corrosion and external leakage — and a drip tray beneath it protects finished flooring.
Typical duties include lamp and luminaire replacement, ceiling and signage maintenance in shopping malls and hotels; ducting, sprinkler and cable-tray installation in office towers and exhibition centres; inspection of plant and pipework above production equipment; and high-level picking and stocktaking on warehouse racking. Wherever lift doors are narrow, floors are sensitive and work points are scattered, this class of machine — and this machine in particular — is at home.
The series also includes a companion model rated for a maximum indoor platform height of 6m. It shares the same design logic and configuration as the MVL9.5S — equally light, equally compact — so buyers can match platform height to ceiling height instead of over- or under-specifying.
The MVL9.5S is certified to European SGS and CE standards and is in service across China, Europe and North America. If you would like to see the machine working — and put the automatic pothole protection to the test yourself — visit HYNEE at bauma CHINA 2026, 24–27 November, Booth E.09.
