Dear Hynee Customers,
The battery is the core power source of Hynee aerial work platforms, including self-propelled aerial work platforms, vertical mast lifts ,vertical boom lifts and scissor lifts. To extend battery life and ensure safe operation of your electric mobile elevating work platform (MEWP) , please pay close attention to the following key points – especially under different working conditions such as outdoor construction, warehouse logistics, and industrial maintenance.
❌ Don’t do this | ✅ Correct practice |
Charge >24 hours | Stop after 5–8 hours |
Charge below 0°C | Warm up battery first |
Charge in enclosed space (chassis, box) | Charge in well-ventilated area |
Use wrong / old charger | Use Hynee original charger |
Inspect at least once a month:
Voltage – Measure total voltage and each battery’s opencircuit voltage. Deviation should not exceed ±0.1V
Appearance & cleanliness – Keep casing clean and dry; ensure vent is unobstructed
Terminals & connections – No looseness, corrosion, or leakage. Apply anti-oxidant paste if needed
Casing condition – No cracks, deformation, bulging, or leakage
3. Typical Faults & On &Site Actions
Symptom | Common Scenario | Action |
Bulging / deformed battery | Long-term overcharge or high- temp charging | Stop use immediately. Check charger. Improve ventilation. Replace battery. |
Abnormal heat during charging | Wrong charger or internal short circuit | Stop charging. Contact a professional. |
Rapid voltage drop when idle | Dirty casing ( leakage) or high self- discharge | Clean casing. Try a top-up charge; if no improvement, replace. |
Low capacity | Insufficient charging or high connection resistance | Run one full charge-discharge cycle. Clean all connection points. |
